So the other day i am playing FF7, because its a great game and i have nothing else to do so im fighting with Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie ( im morphing things and im so far ahead im bored) anyway while playing i have 2X cut mastered therefore each time i cut i cut four times. but its on Tifa anyway she was doing 9,999 points worth of damage then the next fight i get in she does 200 ish each time....this ever happen to anyone else?!?

What weapon have you equipped her with? Some of her weapons do damage dependant on how low her hp is. I remember powersoul and premium heart being those sort of weapons.

her HP was full. but it was premium heart

That means she will do the weakest possible damage that she can, make her get hurt, then see what happens.

yeah i tried that it's still low but it;s building back up. i forgot to say she was killed does that count for anything?

No, not that i'm aware of.

Premium heart's damage is based on her limit breaks, its one of two things
Either it gets stronger every time you get a miss on the limit reel, or it gets stronger the more full her limit gauge is im not sure which.

all the ultimate weapons increase in power depending on different things

Barret-the more AP the materia equipped in it has the more damage it Deals

Vincent-the more enemies he has killed the stronger it gets

Cloud-The higher his HP the stronger it is

Aeris-gets stronger when a party mamber gets KO'd

Red XIII-The higher his MP the stronger it is

Cait sith-Same

Cid-Same again

Yuffie- Doesn't get stronger but deals her normal amount of damage when
you use morph so you can kill enemies a bit quicker with her by using morph alot.

so you see it was intentional and nothing out of the ordinary

I only found out about 4 months ago, i just thought the premium heart sucked so i never used it.

I only use tifa for her limits :P SHE KICKS ASS!

I know why. Like Highwind stated it's based on her limit bar, but also her limit level. The Premium Heart deals more damage the fuller the gauge is. But not everything Highwind said is correct.

The attack value is:
X = Weapon's attack
Y = Specific weapon formula for each character's ultimate weapon
Final Value = X * Y

Ultimate weapons based on HP:
Cloud and Cait Sith.
Y = (1 + (48 * player's HP / player's Max HP)) / 16

Ultimate weapons based on MP:
Red XIII and Cid
Y = (1 + (48 * player's MP / player's Max MP)) / 16

Ultimate weapon based on target's level:
Yuffie
Y = (Target's Level / 16)
In addition the weapon causes no damage, not even a miss or a 0, against allies. And the morph damage modifier is gone.

Ultimate weapon based on materia AP on weapon:
Barret
Y = (1 + (total materia AP in weapon's slots / 10000)) / 16

Ultimate weapon based on character's kills:
Vincent
Y = (10 + (total kills / 128)) / 16

Ultimate weapon based on limit gauge and limit level:
Tifa
Y = (1 + (player's Limit Level * player's Limit Units / 16)) / 16

^yeah i know it wasn't quite a full explanation of them i just used the basics, mainly due to the fact that alot of people would look at those equations and go cross-eyed, or at least

If you're using (I think it's) Premium Heart, her ultimate weapon, her attack damage depends on how high her Limit bar is. So if it's full, she'd do like 9,999, but if it's empty she's barely do anything.
